Friends Caring for Cowan Lake State Park Annual Lake Paddlesport Race
The race is a 3 or 6-mile canoe/kayak/SUP race on beautiful Cowan Lake. Race day registration starts at 8 AM, racer meeting at 8:45 AM, race starts at 9 AM with awards at 11 AM. This race is a great race for the first time racer as well as the seasoned veteran with flat deep water. Race day registration is just $20 per participant. Free camping available on Saturday night at the swimming beach (contact race director for info).PFD is required to be worn for all racers during the race. - Adult/youth Canoe class Canoes, Paddles, and PFDs can be provided at no extra charge. Contact the race director by July 15th if you would like to borrow a canoe for this race.
